Want to move more deeply into the life of Sammamish Hills?

There are a variety of offerings for helping participants in our life together gain a deeper vision for what we’re about.  Here are a few of the basics:

  • The Marks of Following Jesus (Discipleship) classes, are held twice a year- spring and fall.  These classes afford participants the opportunity to establish close connections with others and the pastoral staff while at the same time learning more about the core values, beliefs, and practices of the congregation.  The schedule for fall 2008 is as follows:

  • Topic: Reading the Bible

  • Topic: Relationships
Sunday, November 9: 6 - 7:15 p.m.
  • Topic: Give

 
  • Community Night (Sunday, November 16, 2008 5:30-8:30 p.m.) is a night for everyone who is planning to join the church. We will meet for dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall and at 6:15 p.m. followed by a program introducing you to your sponsors, staff members, council members and other lay leaders. At 7:30 p.m., we will all worship together.
     
  • Discipleship Sunday (Affirmation of Baptism) is a day to publicly commit to participation in the life of the congregation. Our next Discipleship Sunday is Sunday, November 23, 2008.
Whether you are new to faith, have been away from a church for a long time, or are simply seeking to transfer your membership from another congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, all participants in the ministries of Sammamish Hills are encouraged to complete the Marks of Following Jesus (Discipleship) classes.
